FAQ
Good to know
Everything you need before your first class.
Classes
I've never danced before. Where do I start?
Start with our Beginner Bachata course (see current classes). No experience is needed — you'll learn step by step and build confidence on the dance floor at your own pace.
Which level is right for me?
Beginner: you're new or have only just started.
Improver: you know the basics and want to build on them.
Advanced Bachata: for experienced dancers who want to refine their technique, musicality, and connection.
Bachazouk: for advanced dancers ready for a new challenge, blending Bachata with the flow and movement of Brazilian Zouk.
Not sure? Send us a message below, and we'll help you choose.
Do I need a partner?
No. You can sign up on your own — just choose whether you want to dance as a leader or a follower when you book.
Leader or follower — what's the difference?
The leader suggests the moves and the follower interprets them. Anyone can learn either role, and you pick the one you want to learn when you book.
Where are the classes?
Our class location can change from seasons, so look at the location of the class you are booking.
How does a course work?
Each course is a series of weekly classes over several weeks. Spots are limited, so we recommend booking early. See all current classes.
Prices & membership
Why are there different prices?
Prices depend on whether you're a Latin Vibes member and whether you're under or over 30. When you book, simply pick the option that fits you.
What do I get as a member?
Members get lower prices on our classes and events, and directly support our investment in the Latin dance community. A membership runs for one calendar year (January to December).
Who runs Latin Vibes?
Latin Vibes is a Copenhagen dance association run by a board with the help of friends. Our primary goal is to invest in the Latin dance community, so what we earn goes back into classes, events and the community. Read more about us.
Bootcamps & events
What is a bootcamp?
An intensive workshop, often with international guest teachers, where you get a lot of dancing done in a short time. See upcoming bootcamps.
Do you have social nights and festivals?
Yes! Check our Events page for socials and parties, and the Latin Vibes Festival page for our festival with Bachata, urban styles and Salsa.

Code of conduct
A safe floor for everyone
Latin Vibes should feel safe, fun and welcoming for everyone. By joining our classes, socials and festival, you agree to these guidelines. We take every report seriously: if we receive a harassment complaint, the person involved will get a warning. If a warning is ignored, or the harassment is serious, we reserve the right to ban that person from our classes and future events, without a refund.
Respect & consent
Ask, don't assume. It's always OK to say no to a dance — and to accept a no with a smile.
Dance within your partner's comfort
Adapt to your partner's level and comfort. No lifts or tricks without clear consent.
Zero tolerance for harassment
Harassment or discrimination of any kind is not accepted — on or off the dance floor. Read more here
Hygiene & care
Come fresh: clean clothes, deodorant, a spare T-shirt and mints go a long way.
Welcome everyone
Dance with beginners and new faces. Everyone is welcome, whatever their age or background.
Ask before filming
Ask your partner before recording, and respect anyone who doesn't want to be on camera.
